What coach would come to a player at the end of a season and say: \u201cYou know, if you had just done A, B and C, not only would you have won that match four months ago, but you would have very likely gone on to win the tournament and the title.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s laughable, and yet that\u2019s precisely what so many managers are doing when they think that feedback is something that only needs to happen once a year during an annual review, and even then, only superficially.<\/p>\n<p>Good managers, like good coaches, are on the side of their players and want to see them succeed.
